What's Geoff up to?
Bibbulmun Track 2009 Short Promo made for Geoff and Lee’s 2009 End2End Adventure on the Bibbulmun Track, which they did by walking from Albany to Perth.
You just don’t know how long you’ve got Well its into the new year and the start of a new decade. All has been a bit quiet and I really miss being out on the track. We had a bit of bad news to start the year. One of my work colleagues had an accident while fishing in Fremanle and drowned. Deepak was only 31 years old and had a great love of life and people. His smile and calming manor will be greatly missed by all that that where lucky enough to have know him.
I’d rather be walking… Well it has been a couple of weeks since we arrived back and I miss being out on the track already. Returning to the day to day role of going to work and watching your life step past you can fatigue you more than the physical pressure of walking long distance every day. But time is the constant challenge for us all, as there never seems to be enough of it to do everything we need to.
Back into it… Been back a week and back at work. Now all I want to do is put a pack on and get back out into the bush. Lee and I are now discussing our next adventure and we’ve been toying with the idea of possibly doing a trek in Tasmania.
What's Lee up to?
Doing the things that our mind says we can’t It has been now almost 3 months since we finished our journey. Re-gaining balance in my life has been my focus since the trek, spending more quality time with my wife and kids, with my family. Also getting in some well deserved rest. In fact it’s only in the last few weeks that I have got back into
Wow…we’ve made it to Collie! Well, where do i start. We had a great first day in Albany, the first days walk was a tough one but the adrenalin and excitement got me through. Although it was cold and wet there were some amazing views coming accross the windfarm. As day one ended and the adrenalin subsided the aching feet and joints started.
Nearly there… So here we are, just weeks away from what will be one heck of an adventure. We have already come a long way when it comes to fitness however we still have a lot to do on the planning side.
Bring on the Track! I can’t wait… Sean has been great, he has kept our training fun and interesting with a whole range of different equipment, exercises and new ways of doing old favorites and always pushing us as far as he can. We can have a laugh with him too which makes things a lot more enjoyable. So I am really starting to see some great results now, my wife has got back the hunk that she married and I feel great.
Lee and Geoff will be trekking the Bibbulmun Track, from Albany in the South West to Mundaring in the Perth Hills, commencing August 2009. Read more...
